Lifecycle Management
What is Lifecycle Management?
Lifecycle Management lets organizations define their own AI system lifecycle stages and configure the conditions that must be met before a system can advance from one stage to the next. This provides a structured, auditable progression from development through production.
How it works
An Org Admin creates a lifecycle configuration that defines:
- Stages — named phases (e.g. Development, Pre-Production, Production, Retired) with a defined order
- Required policies — which policies must be assigned to the AI system at each stage
- Assessment completion thresholds — the minimum completion percentage (%) for each required policy before the system can progress
- Dimension score thresholds (optional) — minimum scores on specific risk dimensions (residual risk, alignment risk, technology risk) required to enable the next stage
When an AI system is at a given stage, the platform evaluates whether all conditions for the next stage are satisfied. Stages are automatically enabled when thresholds are met.
Stage statuses
Each stage has a status:
- Start — the initial stage for new AI systems
- In Progress — currently active stage
- Done — stage completed and system has advanced
Who can configure lifecycle stages?
Only Org Admins can create lifecycle configurations. Once created, a lifecycle is assigned to AI systems within the organization.
