Alerts & Notifications
Overview
Asenion delivers in-app notifications for governance-relevant events so that team members are informed without having to poll the platform manually. Notifications appear in the notification center (bell icon in the top navigation) and on the dashboard Tasks and Status views.
Notification types
Risk alerts
A risk alert fires when an AI system’s risk status changes on any of the three tracked dimensions:
- Residual risk (policy compliance posture)
- Alignment risk (behavior-to-policy gap)
- Technology risk (infrastructure and model risk)
Each alert includes:
- The AI system name
- Which dimension changed
- The previous and new status (Low / Medium / High)
- A list of the controls that contributed to the change
- A direct link to the relevant assessment
Workflow notifications
| Event | Who is notified |
|---|---|
| Assessment submitted for review | Assigned Reviewer(s) |
| Assessment approved | Submitter and Owner |
| Assessment rejected | Submitter and Owner |
| Control assigned to a team member | The assigned member |
| Control assignment completed | The assigning user |
| Audit status updated | Owner and assigned Auditor |
Risk alert configuration
Risk alert preferences are configured per AI system under AI System → Settings → Risk Alerts. Options:
- Enable / disable alerts for the system
- Recipients — add email addresses to receive alert emails (beyond in-app)
- Trigger conditions — notify on risk level increase, notify on alignment change
- Channels — in-app (always available), email, Slack (if configured), Microsoft Teams (if configured)
- Risk threshold — suppress alerts below a minimum risk level (e.g. only alert on High)
- Cooldown period — suppress follow-up notifications for a configured number of minutes after one fires (default: 30 minutes)
Sub-records (Functional Models, Agents, Datasets) can inherit risk alert settings from their parent AI system or override them independently.
Next review date reminders
Assessments can have a next review date set. When that date approaches, the Owner and assigned Reviewers receive a reminder notification.
Dashboard views
